Contact us to let us know what type of bathroom or kitchen remodeling project you have in mind!

A bathroom remodeling project will average between $25,000 and $50,000 in the Penn Yan, NY area. The cost of the bathroom remodeling project will be determined by how much work will need to be done during the project—specifically if we need to use one of our in-house plumbers or electricians. A small bathroom remodeling project will cost closer to $25,000, while a larger, more extensive bathroom remodeling project can cost upward of $50,000.

Yes! At Lakeside Kitchen Design, we can remodel your bathroom to fit the functionality you need. We will show you a variety of showers you can choose from to fit the bathtub space you’re replacing. Contact us to let us know what bathroom remodel idea you have in mind, and we will let you know how we can make it happen!

When you remodel your bathroom, you can do more than just upgrade the cabinets, countertops, or fixtures. You can design an entirely new bathroom layout or keep the one you have. If you’re redesigning a bathroom, we will use our in-house plumbers and electricians for the job. You can choose your fixtures, faucets, sinks, bathtub, shower, bathroom accessories, and paint color. A bathroom remodel can be as simple or as extensive as you want.

There are many advantages to having a large shower in your bathroom. You can absolutely remodel your bathroom to eliminate the wasted bathtub area and make your shower bigger. We recommend making sure at least one bathroom in your home has a bathtub. Future potential buyers often consider a bathtub a necessity. This could be a make-it-or-break-it factor if they are considering purchasing your house.

Every bathroom has four components: a shower, a bathtub, a sink, and a toilet. When remodeling your bathroom, you will need to plan for all four parts. Will you be replacing all of these fixtures or just some of them? What about the vanity surrounding the sink—will this be upgraded? Does the toilet need to be upgraded to use less water or flush faster? Contact us and let us know what ideas you have in mind for your bathroom remodel project.

Kitchen Remodeling

Kitchen remodels can be simple or extensive. Why are you remodeling? Is it to regain function or to simply upgrade the design? The cost of a kitchen remodel is determined by how much work needs to be done. For simple kitchen remodels that consist of upgrading cabinets or countertops, you can expect to spend around $25,000. For more extensive kitchen remodels, including electrical, plumbing, framing, and drywall work, you can pay as much as $100,000 or more.

All our plumbers and electricians are in-house and can handle any kitchen or bathroom remodeling job, no matter how big. By having in-house plumbers and electricians, we can reassure the quality and integrity of the job. You don’t have to worry about scheduling a plumber or electrician on your own—we’ve got that covered!

The cabinets will be where most of your money goes when you remodel your kitchen. Cabinets make up a large portion of your kitchen. They house your dishes and cookware while providing a surface for preparing food. Without cabinets, your kitchen would be bare and less functional!

When you remodel a kitchen or bathroom, you bring it up to the current standards using the latest trends and designs. This is especially important if you are considering selling your home. The kitchen is often the most popular room in the house for buyers. If you plan to sell your house, remodeling the kitchen or the master bathroom will make your home more desirable to potential buyers.

A remodeled kitchen will include updated cabinets, countertops, and fixtures. These upgrades can increase your overall home value, giving you an investment return of around 68%. Most of the value comes from the cabinets and countertops used in the kitchen, as the cabinets make up a large portion of your kitchen. While most of your kitchen remodel budget will go towards cabinets and countertops, ensure you budget approximately 5% of your budget for fixtures.

The primary difference between bathroom and kitchen cabinets is that bathroom cabinets are slightly shorter than kitchen cabinets. Bathroom cabinets are typically around 31” tall, while kitchen cabinets are around 34” tall. The depth of the cabinets can also play a part in their difference. Many kitchen cabinets have a depth of 24”, while bathroom cabinets are slightly smaller, with a depth of 21”. To put it simply, bathroom cabinets are slightly smaller than kitchen cabinets.

A kitchen is relatively larger than a bathroom, and you often need to use more storage space and countertops in a kitchen. Adding a few extra inches to the height and depth of kitchen cabinets can add storage and counter space. For bathrooms, cabinets of this size will be too big and take up too much room in what may already be a small space. That’s why bathroom cabinets need to be proportional to the room.
